Andrew Dennis is a Newcastle based artist who has been creating visually impactful artwork dominated by his strong drawing style and bold use of colour for over 20 years.
Andrew operates The Art Project where he can be regularly seen working on his latest drawings and paintings. The Art Project also hosts progressive exhibitions and art classes for primary aged students.

The Art Project is a working gallery and
studio space situated at Shop 18/19,Mezzanine Level, Market Square, Hunter St, Newcastle.

Artworks
Andrew uses a variety of techniques when creating his bold and passionate artworks. His style spans a broad repertoire from classic line drawings through to energetic oil paintings. His work is constantly expanding in both subject and style.
Art Classes
Andrew provides the opportunity for your child to learn from an established and practicing artist in a working studio. Art classes focus on building a foundation of sound drawing techniques.
Fundamentals of the classes include basic principals of fine art including drawing, painting, print making, sculpture and collage. All classes are conducted in an atmosphere of fun and exploration to allow students to express their creativity and imaginative skills in a safe and encouraging environment.
After school classes operate every term for 8 weeks between 3:30pm and 4:30pm at the studio at Shop 18/19 Mezzanine Level, Market Square, Hunter Street, Newcastle. All art materials included except students are asked to purchase a A4 spiral bound sketch book and 2B pencil. Alternatively a sketching pack is available for purchase for $25 from The Art Project.
Classes are $120 for 8 weeks or $20 per casual class

Holiday programs are also available and are advertised two weeks prior to the end of term.
